Magpie Designs Shipping Policy



Magpie Designs is committed to providing you with the highest level of quality service.  Despite our best efforts, however, today's significantly increased shipping volumes and other potential handling issues due to this pandemic may disrupt the timely receipt of your order, particularly deliveries to the USA and Internationally.  Regrettably, Magpie Designs can assume no responsibility for such unforeseen shipping disruptions or delays in receiving your order. 

One-of-a-Kind Custom Digitized and Embroidered Products

Each embroidered garment, promotional item or similar product custom-embroidered by Magpie Designs is the result of a collaborative effort between you and Magpie Designs, customized to your specifications.   Only when the embroidery design process has been completed and approved by you can your requested items (by number, sizes, colour, materials, etc.) be ordered from our suppliers which can then take up to 7-14 days for us to receive (often sooner but not always) in order for the embroidery process to commence.  Once the embroidered products have been completed and are ready for shipping, we will then contact you by e-mail to confirm your preferred shipping method and then advise as to shipping costs (we highly recommend adding insurance to these custom orders).

Ready-Made Products

All items will be shipped within 2-5 business days after you confirm your shipping instructions and payment is received by us.  While we can't promise same day shipping, we will make every effort to do so.  Items are shipped Monday through Friday, (excluding Statutory Holidays in Canada).


Deliveries can sometimes be faster or slower than anticipated, so please allow up to 15 business days for delivery.  Unfortunately, Magpie Designs can't be responsible for errors or delays by others in delivering your package.  If your package hasn't arrived within 15 business days, however, please Contact Us so we can review your order details and do our best to further assist in locating/tracking your package.

Magpie Designs does NOT assume responsibility for the replacement cost of packages and contents lost, stolen or damaged during shipment.  Adding carrier insurance to your shipped order is therefore highly recommended.  Similarly, we cannot track or replace any lost packages if the customer has elected shipment without any tracking feature. 


Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are not included in the Magpie Design's service pricing.  All shipping costs, based on your specified preferences, will be invoiced separately and will always be confirmed with you for acceptance and payment before the order can be shipped.

Mailing/shipping costs will, of course, vary depending on your preferred shipping mode, size and weight of the package, added features selected (such as tracking, insurance, registration, recipient signature requirements, special delivery instructions, etc.) and in particular, the destination address you specify for delivery.

For orders shipped outside of Canada, the customer is solely responsible for any and all taxes, import duties, tariffs or other fees as may imposed by the receiving country.  Such costs are not the responsibility of Magpie Designs, are not included in Magpie Design's service pricing and will never be applied to mailing/shipping costs charged to your order.  International customers are strongly encouraged to consult your local customs regulations in this regard before placing any embroidery order with Magpie Designs. 


As noted in our Returns/Exchanges Policy, all custom-ordered products, once approved by the customer as outlined thereunder prior to embroidery production, are NOT subject to return (or return-shipping) except in the sole case of error(s) directly attributable to Magpie Designs.  Before returning any such goods to Magpie Designs for replacement, please first Contact Us within 10 business days of order receipt to confirm the error and to make return shipping arrangements.  The cost of return-shipping by the customer will then, upon suitable confirmation of such costs being provided by the customer, be applied toward any refunds or store credits at the sole discretion of Magpie Designs as further outlined in the Returns/Exchanges Policy.  The customer must ensure that sufficient postal/shipping insurance and tracking is applied to all such goods being returned. Returned items must be returned unused, in good condition. 

Exclusions:  Digitally Downloaded Materials

The above policies relating to shipping and return-shipping charges do not, because of the nature of the product, apply to digital embroidery files and associated supporting documents produced by Magpie Designs that are delivered electronically as instant downloads at the time of purchase.  (Refer to our Returns/Exchanges Policy for further information on return of such materials.)
